Equipment Loans

MSBTC has a variety of equipment on hand for rental, free of charge, to students, faculty, and staff. All equipment is limited to the supplies we have available. See the document attached to the bottom of this page for an extended description of our loaner policy.

One day equipment rentals:

• • HDMI cords

  • Laptop Chargers (USB-C, MagSafe 2, select Lenovo chargers)

  • Keyboards

  • Mice

  • External DVD players

Other equipment available upon special request:

• • VGA Cords

  • Computer speakers

  • Microphones

  • Video Cameras

  • Powerpoint Clickers (faculty and staff only)

  • Ethernet cables

Laptops – please see our policy details below

• • General Use laptops

  • Exam 4 Laptops

Laptops are reserved for students who:

1. Are awaiting the arrival of a new laptop

   • One week maximum rental allowed

   • Laptop order verification may be requested upon check-out

2. Have sent their laptop to be repaired

   • One week maximum rental allowed

   • Laptop repair order verification may be requested upon check-out

3. Need a laptop for Exam 4

   • Rented on an hourly basis

4. Forgot their laptop at home

   • Same day return is required

5. Laptops are reserved for Faculty, Staff, and official visitors who have a verified need for a loaner laptop.

   • One week maximum rental allowed for Faculty and Staff

MSB Tech Center cannot provide routine laptop loans for users who have not correctly configured their PCs to run MSB software or simply for convenience. In addition, we reserve the right to monitor and limit how often and for how long users may use our equipment.
